Our mission is Saving Wildlife, One Adventure, at a time.
So.. who are we??
Hi there! And welcome to my little corner of the adventure travel world. My name is Michelle and I am the face behind Wildly Adventures. I have been running group tours since 2017 and it all started back when I was still working full-time as a Zookeeper. I would always get people asking me how I book my travels, that I’m brave to go on my own and even wondering how I afforded to travel so much while working a minimum pay job.
Light bulb moment! Originally I started out with the name Zookeepers on Tour as I started these tours when I was still working full-time as a zookeeper and I would arrange 1-2 tours a years using my annual holiday allowance. This soon tuned into a full time career in itself and I didn’t want to limit my tours to just zookeepers, my tours are open to all so I named my company Wildly Adventures, because that’s exactly what these tours are. The idea behind my tours was offering group tours with a focus on wildlife and more bang for your buck. But I didn’t want my tours to just be a holiday, so that’s why on all my trips I partner with small locally run conservation projects through funds donation, visiting their work, raising awareness and donation of much needed supplies. I believe that tourism is one of the greatest forms of wildlife conservation, bringing funds directly to where they are needed most.

How are things going?
In the past 12 months alone we have had 91 people join us on 14 tours across 9 Countries. These tours included Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Madagascar, Costa Rica, Romania, Ireland, Sri Lanka and Norway. It has been a busy year!
Our tours are predominantly small group tours with an average group size of 6 people with maximum 12 people. Keeping our group sizes small is in part for better wildlife viewing, less people in a group equals less disturbance to the wildlife. It also means you have a better chance of getting to know the other people in your group, when group sizes are too big it can be overwhelming. You will have more opportunities to speak to the guide and tour leader as they can focus more time on each individual with a smaller group.
*Please note some tours have larger group sizes where a destination is more expensive to be able to keep our prices competitive. This is a case by case and depends on what the tour entails.
We have supported and visited some amazing projects on those tours such as the Pangolin rescue center. Our Uganda group tour back in September even got to take part in a release of a Pangolin back to the wild. How incredible! Our Sri Lanka group brought Camera traps and equipment to donate to the Fishing Cat conservation project in Colombo, Sri Lanka, where we did a nocturnal walk with their team and got to learn about the work they are doing to project Sri lankas small cats. In Kenya group in April visited the Mount Kenya Bongo Project where they got to see some pre-release Bongos that will one day go back to the wild.
On all our group trips we provide our guests with wish lists from the projects we work with so that you have the opportunity to get involved by bringing much needed equipment. Examples of this include bringing kitten formula and bottles to donate to the USPCA animal shelter for orphaned kittens, this kitten formula is not available in Uganda. Or small animal transport crates that the Pangolin rescue Centre uses to rescue pangolins.
Its not all about the wildlife. Supporting communities around these wild places is equally if not more important because at the end of the day there is no conservation without the support of local people. We support a women’s project, the Happy girls project. They make and provide for free reusable sanitary pads to school girls and training workshops. Our Uganda guests can bring much needed donations such as sewing equipment or even things like Tampons which are hard to get in Uganda. We also visit their craft shop at Lake Bunyonyi to do our souvenir shopping where profits go to supporting girls in the community.
New for this year we are introducing Rabies vaccinations with the USPCA for our Uganda tours. So that for each person that travels with us to Uganda we will buy and donate rabies vaccines to the shelter for street dogs and cats.
So when you travel with us these are just a few of things you are supporting.
This year alone we have introduced tours to 2 new countries, Norway and Costa Rica.
And next year we are planning to add tours to 5 new countries! with a total of 12 group tours on offer for 2025.
Every year we plan to offer more destinations while still keeping our original tours. So if you don’t see your dream destination just yet then keep an eye out, we very well may be planning a tour there for the near future.
Along with our group tours we also offer private custom tours. So if group tours arent your thing and no matter if you are a solo traveler, couple, a family, group of friends then we would love to help you create your dream trip.

Reviews from past group tripper’s:

Michelle devised an incredible itinerary for us to see many of Madagascar’s highlights, to include so much of the country’s amazing wildlife. An absolutely fabulous 3 weeks of adventure. Michelle is passionate about Wildlife and we all shared in great excitement when we were lucky enough to spot another unique creature. I highly recommend Michelle and Wildly Adventures Travel ltd. – look no further for a great tour leader, lovely travel companion and a fabulous trip!

I first travelled with Michelle to Uganda in 2019. Having never been to Africa before I was very nervous so travelling with a group seemed like a great option. We all very quickly became close friends and I had the holiday of a lifetime that was well worth the price. We travelled all over the country visiting as many national parks as possible where we saw a huge variety of beautiful animals in their wild habitats. The chimpanzee trek we went on is one of the most memorable experiences in my life, as was the mountain gorilla visit in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The trip to Uganda was so good that several years later I dragged my partner with me on a group tour to Madagascar with Michelle. This trip was of similar high quality and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves (though our buns ached from all the pot holes in the roads!). I cannot recommend Michelle and her company highly enough, worth every penny.
